Bonnie Patterson waits in the wings

Pasadena - 1953

SOCIETY EXCLUSIVE

The Children’s Ballet Company in Pasadena were performing a concert at the Wilshire Ebell Theater, and Redbook magazine asked Bob to cover it. This image of young Bonnie Patterson dreaming in the wings was made backstage. Bob was so intrigued with the group that he went back many times to photograph them at work. Some famous dancers started here including Cynthia Gregory, who went on to become the prima ballerina of the NYC Ballet.
