Jean Seberg with peach

St. Tropez - 1957

Bonjour Tristesse was Seberg’s second film, also with Otto Preminger, filming in the south of France, a more congenial location than the freezing soundstages in England where Saint Joan was filmed. Production was based originally in St. Tropez, but the nightlife left the crew a little worse for wear, so they moved down the coast to Le Lavendou - where there was not a disco in sight.
